Skylines

Here’s a couple of cityscapes I did this week. The first is just a very quick sketch from a photo

and the second is more of an extended doodle…

Work on the comic is going well. I’ve written the final draft for the first five or so pages and I’ve got the entire first issue mapped out in my head. The characters have developed quite a lot and I’m drawing about six hours a day trying to get all my ideas out. More on this soon…

Fucked Up Once Again

I just got three rolls of film back from the camera shop and they’re all fucked except for one photo. 1 photo per film I can deal with, but not 1 for every 3. I might have to give up at this photography lark. I can’t afford it.

Taken with a Smena Symbol Lomo. For my other Lomo photo’s check out my flickr

Desolation Row (comic idea)

I’ve decided to try and make a comic. I haven’t made a serious attempt at doing one since I was about 10 years old. This is all I want to reveal for now (that and my twitter posts). Hopefully I can get it together…

Pavement Suck

Been trying to relearn how to draw. It’s not like riding a bike. Here’s a couple of portraits I did of two of my best (human) friends.

Film Music (DCW & Thee Kidd)

Here is some music me and Tom Mayne of David Cronenberg’s Wife made one afternoon in my old bedroom at my Mum’s house back in 2007 or 2008. In case you didn’t know I was once the guitarist for DCW. I joined Tom and the band on their 2nd gig and did some 20 to 30 shows with them. The idea for this music was to try and make something cinematic using Tom’s narrative lyrics and my experimental guitar playing and collection of circuit bent Casio keyboards. For “Stay on” and “Three Dreams” we let the keyboards do most of the work taking us in whatever direction they wanted to go. “The Diplomat” later found its way onto the Helen  Llewlyn Product 19 compilation “Electio Pop”. We always planned to do more, and that’s why these recordings never went public, but we never found the time.

NB. Listen to in order and with the volume loud. The mix is low as we were using very primitive multi-tracking software.
